Hello, Commander Charles Tucker III here. Although everyone calls me "Trip". I'm the Chief Engineer of Enterprise NX-01. Yup, our first warp 5 engine. I'm mighty proud of it. And I'm mighty proud to be serving with such a great crew. I first met our captain, Jonathan Archer back during the NX test program, and we've been friends ever since. He's gotten me out of a lot of tight spots. And then there's Subcommander T'Pol, she's our Science Officer. She's really not all that bad for a Vulcan. I'm kind of warming up to her. Our Communications Officer is Ensign Sato, she's real bright, and our Helmsman, Ensign Mayweather, is one damn good pilot. It's a great honor to be serving with all these folks.

Oh, yeah, uh, Malcolm. Lieutenant Reed, that is. He's our Tactical Officer. We're friends, of a sort. Sometimes he kind of bugs me, you know? He can be so fussy and prickly. And proper. A little uptight, if you ask me.

But anyways, we're the first humans ever to be exploring so far in space, and the things we've seen so far--well, it's just amazing. Can't say we've made a whole lot of friends just yet, though. We've made a few mistakes, but we're learning. It's been a hell of an adventure so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.
